12 Lesson “Semester Program” 100 minute sessions – Online Lessons

This is a package of 12 100-minute online voice lessons and some supplemental coursework (see below) taken starting January or February and ending 21 May 2018.   Lessons can be online or “mixed” (you may take them in person from Ellie if you are in NYC or Ellie is in SF). Completing the Courses & Lessons

The credits for this package expire on 21 May 2018, so you’ll need to complete them by then.  The other coursework meets weekly and you must complete the assignments to stay in the supplemtnal courses.

Supplemental Coursework

We will be running video courses:

• Songwriting and
• Basic piano (which is also kinda a music theory course)

I added these courses as an experiement when I noticed my students who were really going to town (getting signed, getting great venues, airplay, GRAMMY nods, etc) all had a couple things in common besides singing awesome: The had some instrument skills and had some songwriting skills.  They did not always perform original stuff, but they used their other music skills to make cool arrangements of existing songs that were special and that people noticed and liked.  Of course, many do perform orginal material, but these skills were super handy for both those who do compose their own material and those who do standards or covers.
